Dimpal Das is the Founder & Developer of Porha. He holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU).
The idea behind Porha started with a simple observation: people are spending more and more time on their phones, while short-form content has become a natural part of how they consume information.
Instead of treating this only as a distraction, Dimpal wanted to create something that could make that time more useful — helping people learn something meaningful even when they only have a few minutes.
This led to the idea of a social-media-inspired learning platform where students can read short articles, test their knowledge, explore important topics, and gradually build their preparation for competitive exams.
Porha is built with a particular focus on students from Assam and Northeast India, while also supporting aspirants preparing for competitive examinations across India.
